Ellevate (+FitPros) + Airbnb's #InternationalWomen'sDay2019 Celebration

To honor the fantastic women who are taking full advantage of all the rights they have won back in the last 100 years (I say won back, because they were always ours to begin with), FitPros CEO/Founder Lindsay Bailey and Employee Experience Manager Jasmine Manalo, attended Ellevate’s International Women’s Day Networking Event at Airbnb headquarters. Both Airbnb and Ellevate invited extensive guest lists of empowered women who are not only utilizing their rights to the fullest, but also inspiring others to do so. After a fun networking session, all attendees of the event sat to watch RBG, a documentary on Ruth Bader Ginsburg. It is safe to say that Notorious RBG has paved the way for women to continue maximizing their potential.

Speaking of… when the film was over, a selection of female speakers were chosen by Ellevate leadership to discuss how far the female sex has come. FitPros' CEO Lindsay Bailey is one of the San Francisco Ellevate Co-presidents, who organized the event and chose which speakers would be on the panel. Lindsay nominated her Co-president, Livia Ching to represent their dynamic duo. There should be no doubt in your mind why Lindsay was chosen to fill one of Ellevate’s prestigious leadership positions, but in case you enjoy an explanation here it is:

Lindsay Bailey moonlights as an Ellevate mentor. Meaning, when Lindsay steps away from running a full business and managing the entire FitPros’ staff, she volunteers her time to help MORE people (specifically women) around the Bay Area. It is safe to say, that Lindsay and Jasmine both epitomize why women’s rights are so very important; because they both excel at their careers, in their personal lives and still manage to find time to honor their gender rights in the best way possible, by helping others.

As a new member of both the FitPros team and Ellevate, I am excited to follow in the footsteps of my colleagues by, respectfully and fervently supporting and elevating both the women around me, and those in companies all over the United States. If you are interested in doing the same, please look into the below opportunity to sign up for the Ellevate Network.

At Ellevate Network, we lead with our values.

There is power in diversity — we value different perspectives and recognize that they help us grow. We challenge the norm to make diversity a reality.

We work to make the world a better place — we believe that the world can change for the better and we are making it happen. We don’t wait for others to do it.

Community lifts us up — we use the power of teamwork to solve problems. We communicate openly and work together to elevate each individual.

We practice gratitude — we’re passionate about the work we’re doing and recognize that we’re privileged to be doing it.

Honesty, integrity & respect, always — when in question, we always default to the “most respectful interpretation” of a situation.

Be authentic — we believe in the power of being accountable to our work as well as our personal lives. We work to make everyone comfortable presenting their genuine selves inside and outside of the workplace.

Action is important — we get stuff done — without freaking out.
